The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to the NeuroIS Retreat 2019 (June 4-6, conference days with presentations are June 5 and June 6, welcome reception with dinner in the evening of June 4) and the NeuroIS.org Training Course 2019 (June 4). Participants shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the conference and/or training course and are advised to read and understand these terms carefully before registering. The organizer will not accept any conditions contradictory to or deviant from these general terms and conditions.
Responsible for the organization of the conference is the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Austria.
Registration to the conference and/or training course must be done through the online registration system. Participants will receive an automatic confirmation of the registration details. If you do not obtain anything, please send an email to info@NeuroIS.org to make sure that the organizer has received your booking. Registration will only be effective on receipt of the registration fee or after authorization of credit card payment. Please notify any corrections to your registration immediately.
Fees and Payment Conditions
The regular registration fee for the conference is 495,– Euro. The student registration fee for the conference is 385,– Euro. An official confirmation of the student status must be uploaded during the registration process. The registration fee includes the conference dinner on June 4, the coffee breaks and lunch on June 5 and June 6, dinner on June 5, and the Springer proceedings.
The registration fee for the NeuroIS.org training course is 100,– Euro. The registration fee includes lunch and coffee breaks on June 4.
Participants are responsible for booking accommodation directly with the hotels. A selection of hotels can be found on the conference website: www.NeuroIS.org. Please use credit card online payment when registering for the retreat. All payments are made in Euro.
Request for refund must be in writing via email to info@NeuroIS.org, and is subject to the following schedule: received by May 4, 2019, full refund less Euro 50 administrative fee; cancellations received later will not be accepted, the registrant will be liable for the full conference registration fee. Substitutions are permitted.
Participants who do not cancel and do not attend, will still be responsible for the full registration fee. All cancellations and changes must be submitted in written form – with indication of full name, invoice number and bank details for reimbursement – to info@NeuroIS.org.
Training Course and Retreat: The organizer reserves the right to modify the content of the program, the speakers, the times of presentations, and the venue (only within Vienna, Austria). If the number of participants is insufficient (at least 15 participants for the Retreat), the organizer reserves the right to cancel the conference and all related products and/or services without any liability on his part. In the case of a cancellation by the organizer participants will be reimbursed the registration fee actually paid.
The organizer does not accept liability for the up-to-dateness, correctness and completeness in respect to retreat documentation and content. The organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the entire event (June 4-6, 2019). Payments will be refunded if the training course or conference will be canceled by the organizer. In that case, the organizer will have no further liability to the client. Registrations remain valid if the training course and/or conference have to be postponed due to reasons which are not in the sphere of action of the organizer.
The organizer may, free of charge and without the further consent of the participants, use and release video, pictures, and shots taken of the participants and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations, or lectures) during the retreat and training course for reports of the conference (e.g., on www.NeuroIS.org) and announcement of events in future.
All personal data provided to the organizer for registration will be treated as confidential. The data shall be used and stored for further processing and documentation purposes. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose. Data shall be delivered to assigned service providers, as deemed necessary for the successful performance of the conference. The organizer will only disclose information to third parties if that is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose(s) identified above.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
All agreements between the organizer and the participant and all disputes which may arise between the organizer and the participants shall be exclusively subject to Austrian law. Court of jurisdiction shall be Linz in Austria, if not otherwise required by the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.
